The fight we had been waiting for got canceled by yet another bad weight cut. The co-main event of Ferguson versus Nurmagomedov was scrapped and replaced by Lando Vannata versus David Teymur. Nurmagomedov was taken to the hospital early Friday morning before weigh-ins and couldn't get weighed in due to weight cut issues. The main event is happening and it is going to be fun. Woodley versus Thompson ended in an exciting draw with even the announcement of the draw being interesting. The fight saw each competitor have their rounds and moments which is why it ended up a draw. The distance is key for Thompson who is one of the better strikers in the UFC and uses his karate background. The key will be for Thompson not to allow Woodley to get inside for either a big punch or takedown. The key for Woodley is to not stand on the outside and get peppered by shots while watching out for the spinning kicks and the kicks in general. Thompson has only one professional loss to his resume which came in 2012 to Matt Brown. Woodley with 3 career losses has 5 submissions in his 16 wins but he is more known for is knockout power. The fight should play out pretty similar to the last fight, but the question is will one guy catch the other coming in? The co-main event is Lando Vannata versus David Teymur which is underrated but interesting it moved to the co-main slot. Vannata came into the UFC with a bang facing Tony Ferguson on a short notice fight. He gave Ferguson some problems early, but Ferguson ended up gaining control and handing him the only loss of his career so far. Teymur has 5 total wins and 1 loss in his career which include 2 wins via knockout in the UFC. The main reason this was pushed to co-main is because this has potential to be the fight of the night. Also on the card Rashad Evans makes is middleweight debut finally and Overeem versus Hunt.
