NBA Power Rankings - February 4, 2017

This season has gone as many people expected. The top teams are the top teams and the bottom teams were suppose to be the bottom. One of the biggest surprises is the Nuggets in the playoff race. The Golden State Warriors are the best team on paper with the best record. Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry seemed to have found a groove together, which is bad for everyone else in the league.  The Cleveland Cavaliers struggled in the whole month of January, but with Lebron on the team, they shouldn't worry. The Cavaliers were in this same position last year and fired David Blatt. The Wizards were one of the bigger disappointments in the league, but have turned it around and now one of the best in the Eastern Conference. The MVP race is wide open at this point. The numbers the players are putting up this year are unheard of. James Harden has positioned himself to win it because of the team's success. Russell Westbrook is averaging a triple double, but team success gives Harden a slight edge. The NBA has been entertaining, but for most the teams, its about what they can do in the playoffs.
