Hakeem Olajuwon was one of the best all-around big men in the NBA playing both sides of the ball at a high level. For a guy who didn't play basketball until he was 17, Olajuwon would pick up the game quickly earning a chance to play at the University of Houston. He would go on to redshirt his first year and didn't get a lot of playing time in his second. He worked out with Moses Malone to improve his game and the following year and formed "Phi Slama Jama" with his teammates that included Clyde Drexler. They would make the NCAA Championship Game losing both times and a decision about his future came after his junior year.  Olajuwon thought there was a good chance for the Rockets to draft him so he entered the draft and was selected first overall by them. He would play most of his career with Houston and won two championships. The Rockets won back to back championships in 1994 and 1995 with Hakeem winning NBA MVP and 2 Finals MVP during that time. After that, his numbers started to decline but the team winning stayed consistent. He was traded to the Toronto Raptors to finish his career. Olajuwon retired after just one season with the Raptors. Olajuwon was one the best skilled big men to ever play in the NBA, but does that make him the G.O.A.T?
