The event of the summer and possibly the best event ever is finally here. UFC 214 will see the rematch of Daniel Cormier versus Jon Jones in the heated rivalry. Everyone knows the history between these two with fight pullouts, Jones and drug issues, and Cormier getting beat handily the first time. Jones is rusty and could come out as a different fighter and Cormier has to make weight. Both fighters come in with 1 career loss with Jones only loss being via disqualification and Cormier only loss coming via a loss to Jones. Jon Jones has fought some of the best fighters to ever fight in the UFC and is in the conversation for greatest of all time. This fight is a defining moment in Cormier career with another loss to Jones it would be kind of an asterisk on his record, but with a victory, it puts him in the conversation with all time greats. The co-main features two of the best welterweights Tyron Woodley versus Demian Maia in a matchup of different styles. Tyron Woodley's last two fights have been boring and underwhelming and could have lost both fights. Demian Maia is one of the most skilled BJJ practitioners in the UFC. Woodley strong and will be looking for the knockout and Maia will be looking to take him down and submit him. The third title fight on the card is Cris Cyborg versus Tonya Evinger for the women's featherweight title. Finally, after years of talk Cyborg is fighting for a UFC title. Cyborg is one of the most dominant women to fight in MMA, but as seen with the Rousey situation it all can come crashing down with one kick, punch, or submission. Also on the card is the potential most exciting fight on the card with Donald Cerrone versus Robbie Lawler. On the card are 3 title fights, 14 ranked fighters, and 8 top 5 ranked fighters counting the champions.
