The young contender defeated the 20-year veteran by TKO making many wonder what's next for both of them. Kelvin Gastelum needs to be challenged next fight and called out Anderson Silva, but a better matchup might be Whittaker or winner of Weidman versus Mousasi fight. Vitor has one fight left on his contract which he would like to fight in Brazil in June which could see him fight Silva or another fighter in the top 15 area. The time is right for him to retire after that. The fight went as expected with Vitor throwing some nice bombs and hitting Gastelum a few times, but Gastelum with the more accurate and crisp punches knocked Vitor down twice. Shogun Rua looked the best he has in a long time with excellent timing with his right hand eventually finishing Villante in a fight of the night candidate. Edson Barboza finished Beneil Dariush with an early knockout of the year candidate with a flying knee. Ray Borg was impressive in his fight and is working his way to the top of the flyweight division. With 12 ranked fighters on the card, this card didn't disappoint and was better than the last two pay per views.
